WV-ISEP Study Abroad Consortium

ISEP students abroad discover new cultures, learn or improve a second language, and develop intercultural competencies and interpersonal skills – all while earning academic credits towards their college degree.

ISEP Program Options

  • ISEP-Exchange Programs. ISEP-Exchange programs provide students with affordable study abroad opportunities for a semester or a full year by switching places with an international student from one of over 120 host institutions.
  • ISEP-Direct Programs. ISEP-Direct programs provide affordable study abroad programs that allow students to enroll in over 25 countries for a semester, full year or summer. In fact, ISEP-Direct programs are often cheaper than other program providers.

Eligibility Requirements

X Enrolled at one of the following West Virginia colleges: Fairmont State University, Glenville State College, Shepherd University, West Liberty State College, WVU Morgantown Campus, WVU Institute of Technology, WVU at Parkerburg, and WVU Potomac State College.

X In good academic and judicial standing at home institution.

X Completed at least one semester of university coursework before applying.

X Minimum GPA of 2.75 (some sites require a higher GPA).

X Have the personal maturity needed to study abroad for an extended amount of time.
